Is That Really the Time?!

mathewjpallet: There's No Money!!! (Pochiyama)
While moving some furniture around to make more room in the living room, which was something I managed to achieve despite a lack of assistance, I managed to find some things that I had totally forgotten about as well as a worrying amount of obsolete Video Cassettes...

I found a geographical book about Austria that was published by Sterling Publishing way back in 1964, but was stillbeing used by British Schools well into the 1970's, some of the contents are slightly bizarre & amusing.

A statue on EVERY lawn, can it be true?!

Blonde Hair can be used as Spice?! I never knew this fact!

The small car does have a certain allure, ease of parking being one of them. Not enough room to open the door? Just climb out through the roof!

I found a great many things, but I still haven't managed to locate the remote control to my DVD player, which means I cannot watch any of my DVDs, well the one's that require me to make audio selections at least & I can't look at any of the special features.

The most recent series of Top Gear is showing every Sunday evening on BBC2 at 8PM. I happened to catch sight of an Italian police car as Richard Hammond was pulled over as the Polizia believed that he'd actually stolen the Ferrari Daytona he was driving while in one of their pointless, yet somehow amusing racing challenges. While they weren't driving anything as expensive as a Lamborghini Gallardo, they did happen to be driving an Audi, which is slightly better than British Police Cars, with the exception of the Interceptors, which mainly drive Subaru Impreza's.

The past certainly is a golden age, which is why we can only view it through the tourist brochures as its far too expensive to visit in person!!

But looking through this book on Austria, I'm somewhat curious what the England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales in pictures books look like!
