Everything or Nothing

I went to see Quantum of Solace. Ever since Sony got their hands on the bond franchise by buying MGM studios, I've expected every film to be inundated with Sony brand product placement & considering how much money they have to throw at the film to keep it in production, product placement would likely be unavoidable.

Although it would completely break the flow of the film for Bond to sit down & play a Playstation 3, there are plenty of other Sony products that could be featured, however the only product that was featured was a Sony Ericson Mobile phone, although there were a few recognisable cars that made brief appearances in the film. The fiim begins with Bond being chased in his Aston Martin by an Alfa Romeo across northern Italy, you can also expect to see a Ford Ka in the most unexpected location imaginable.

That being said, the actual story progresses in a most unexpected manner, & previous knowledge of the events in Casino Royale is essential to get the most out of the film as this film continues from the events of that film & contimues without looking back or stopping to catch your breath. The opening credits was fascinating, the manner in which the titles & credits moved across the screen actually drew my attention more than anything else happening on the screen, which is particularly strange for a Bond film.

I've been getting calls form overseas a lot recently. My telephone is a BT Relate 2100, which records details of all phonecalls that I've received, informs me of any sms messages that have been sent to me (I can also send SMS messages from this phone) & even has a light that flashes to inform me that somebody has left a message with BTs answer service. I was actually present when the call came through, the caller ID indicated that it orriginated from overseas, so I answered the call thinking that it might be something important, however the person on the other end mumbled inaudibly, asked who I was, then started humming before hanging up. This was mildly annoying, but it's not as if I was the one paying for the call.
