Classic Hollywood films such as Casablanca (1942), Stagecoach (1939), Wuthering Heights (1939) & Charade (1963) have been adapted by the Japanese company Mangabank. Each 128 page volume will go on sale from November 17th, packaged with a Japanese subtitled DVD for 1,380 yen.
The copyright to these films has expired in Japan, allowing anyone in that country to release them under public domain or adapt them into a 2D Fighting Game. However the films are still copyrighted in the US, with the exception of Charade which has been public domain for some time due to a legal technicality.
