Gore: The Protector

Yesterday most of my time was consumed with the painstaking task of recreating my ancient Z.O.I.D.S. Gore: The Protector using a Z.O.I.D.S. 2 Iron Kong that I'd bought for that purpose (along with the few surviving pieces of my original Gore).

I started by spraying the arms, feet & a few other pieces that were either Red or Brown with a Plasticote Silver Spraypaint, ass those pieces on the original Gore were either faux metallic or Grey. I then used a Plasticote Blackboard Spray to cover the remaining pieces. This wasn't much of a problem for the sections that cover the legs as they were already black, a thin coat was all it took. The same could not be said of the remaining pieces as they had been processed to have a Bronze Metallic effect, that I later learned would interfere with the paint application. The paint started peeling off, which made the model look gaudy, so I had to scrape the paint all the way back to the original moulding plastic.

At the moment the kit is still incomplete, as I've yet to respray the affected areas. In the meantime here's a lovely picture of a character created by Chopper-Chan called Michi!!!
