I'm now registered at ComicSpace, which is a site dedicated to comics. Although it's only a week old there's already been over four & a half thousand people that have signed up.
Already I have over 250 'contacts' on my profile, as I've taken the opportunity to attempt to add EVERYONE in a feable attempt at Viral Marketing. I started from the first person to sign up then made my way down the list & have only recently found someone that I recognise (other than AP Furtado of 01 Comics & Nate Piekos of Blambot) Willie Hewes, who signed up when the site first launched.
There's still a thousand people to get through before I get to anyone I already know, so if you haven't added me before I get to you, I'll take it that you'd prefer not to be added to my part of the site.

i've been doing something similar with my prints account on DA coincidentally - im doing a series of 5 prints at a time, and along the theme of each series im joing every club i can find, in order to get as many people to see them as possible (in a feeble attempt to sell a print on DA o_O; ) - its cat clubs @ the mo, then it'll be nature photography, then architecture, or something ^^
its been semi-successful, no prints sold, but i've already topped 100 pageviews since i started the account less than 2 weeks ago...plus i've got quite a bit of feedback on my images, and about a million comments and favs...altho it gets tiring after a while, if i wasn't a no-good layabout ('freelancer' ^_~ ) @ the mo i wouldn't have the time...
I haven't really checked to see if I've managed to sell any. but right now ComicSpace is approaching Five Thousand members & I've only been able to network with about 300 of them.
Right now there's a brand new logo custom made for Comic Space by Nate Piekos.
