But that particular image seems TOO BUFF to be the original Astroboy!
A few changes look as though they were influenced by the anime adaptation, but they're also bring the first volume in line with the style of the more recent Yotsuba&! But it's not as bad as Kosuke Fujishima who' doesn't want anyone seeing his early volumes of You're Under Arrest!
I found a few issues of Xenon, one of the earliest manga titles published by Eclipse International & Viz Comics way back in 1987. The cover reminds me of Gunnm/Battle Angel & flicking through it, I'm instantly reminded how much has changed since it was first published, mainly due to the fact that it isn't even available in English anymore!

I also found an example of eighties anime-inspired comics as my attention was drawn to an image that proclaimed to be 'The Original Astroboy!'
