If you've heard of Kiyohiko Azuma's Azumanga Daioh, you might be interested in a recent article on Hatena::Diary, that compares panels from a recent revised edition & the original. While it's easy to identify the differences, particularly with the example featuring Chiyo-Chan below.

A few changes look as though they were influenced by the anime adaptation, but they're also bring the first volume in line with the style of the more recent Yotsuba&! But it's not as bad as Kosuke Fujishima who' doesn't want anyone seeing his early volumes of You're Under Arrest!

I found a few issues of Xenon, one of the earliest manga titles published by Eclipse InternationalViz Comics way back in 1987. The cover reminds me of Gunnm/Battle Angel & flicking through it, I'm instantly reminded how much has changed since it was first published, mainly due to the fact that it isn't even available in English anymore!

I also found an example of eighties anime-inspired comics as my attention was drawn to an image that proclaimed to be 'The Original Astroboy!'

But that particular image seems TOO BUFF to be the original Astroboy!
