This week I have mostly been messing around with action figures.

I had a collection of spare parts (mostly left arms and right shins) that I needed to use up as I dislike letting anything go to waste. I was able to get my hands on a few torsos to attach spare limbs to and get down to customizing as they're all reproduction parts so I don't feel so bad when I screw things up...

I wanted to give the figure a different look and as I don't have a bunch o doll hair to hand I decided to use some leftover Milliput before it becomes totally unusable. As this is my first time sculpting something that is supposed to resemble hair I'm not too shocked that it doesn't look absolutely fantastic, but it does mean that I have to hack away at it with scalpels and sandpaper before it begins to look reasonable.

One thing I discovered when making the figures (there were two torsos) was that my Sisters Daughter whose first Birthday is next Thursday LOVES Action Man and reaches toward it with insatiable glee whenever she can see one. So instead of customizing the second I've decided to put the uniform that looks like a pair of pyjamas on it so I can give it to her next week. I've also been tasked with baking a cake, which is something I'd probably have done anyway as I still have a bag of Dove Farm Gluten and Wheat free flour that needs to be used before the year is out!
