Having read further in to Norwegian Wood I am increasingly convinced that the various posters depicting the film as a love story are substantially misleading. The main theme of the novel appears to be human suffering, there has been more than one suicide as well as a family member of a key character dying from a brain tumor.
I'm now convinced that the somewhat sentimental still I used with the last poster isn't that suitable, so I decide to come up with a new concept today, just focusing on the flowers Toru takes to Midori when they have lunch at her home above the Kobayashi Bookshop. It probably doesn't work any better as the meal would suggest the cover to a cookery book!
